EOPS Application and Process

Eligibility to submit an EOPS application requires the following steps FIRST:

  • Complete the IVC application online at to obtain Student ID number and appointment for registration. (Be sure to declare an educational goal and major).
  • Complete the IVC Matriculation process at
    • (including math AND English assessment, advisement and orientation).
  • Clear residency with the Office of Admissions and Records (must be a California resident or AB540).
  • Submit official transcripts to the Office of Admissions and Records for ALL previous post-secondary coursework completed.
  • Confirm that your cumulative grade point average is 2.0 or higher, and you have not completed more than 60 college units.
  • Complete FAFSA ( or California Dream Act Application ( and submit all requested documentation to the Financial Aid Office located in SSC 130.
  • Obtain your free student photo ID card (go to Campus Police in CP 100).
  • Enroll in a minimum of 12 units for fall or spring; or four units for summer.

EOPS is open for new applicants NOW!

Please let us know NOW if:

  • You or your children receive CalWORKs cash aid.
  • You have been accepted to the IVC Disabled Students Program and Services.
  • You have been accepted to receive veteran’s benefits at Irvine Valley College.
  • You are/were an emancipated foster youth.
