Financial Assistance

Book Service

The EOPS Book Service Program provides textbooks to eligible students. Students must have an academic plan on file in order to receive required textbooks for classes during each semester in which they are enrolled. EOPS does not provide workbooks, lab manuals, or one-time use access codes. For further details, please see an EOPS Specialist. When the semester ends, students are asked to return the borrowed texts.

Retention Services

EOPS offers several services to assist eligible students in successfully completing their classes, including:

  • Priority registration
  • Additional tutorial assistance through the learning center
  • Short-term and long-term academic planning
  • Instructional liaisons
  • Success contracts for students on probation
  • Study skills workshops


Specialized counseling for EOPS students focuses on academic planning, career planning, and personal concerns. Services are designed to assist students to develop planning strategies so that they may succeed in reaching their academic and occupational goals.

University Transfer Program

EOPS can help with students with their four-year college or university transfer process:

  • Arrange visits to college and university campuses
  • Provide information on transfer requirements
  • Assist with admission applications
  • Follow up with the student on their application to ensure completion and acceptance
  • Provide access to application fee waivers
