Helping a Distressed Student

Your willingness and ability to respond well to Irvine Valley College students in distress will undoubtedly be influenced by your personal style and personal beliefs about the limits of responsibility for helping students mature, both emotionally and intellectually. Some IVC students maybe more open to assistance while others may be more reluctant to ask or receive help. By utilizing the "At-Risk" simulator offered by Kognito, you will be more knowledgeable about stress related factors and how to better assist the student in distress.
