Mailing Your I-20

Once you have been admitted to Irvine Valley College, you have the following two options for the mailing of your acceptance packet and I-20:

  1. Regular Overseas Postal Mail: Regular postal mail can take as long as four weeks and does not offer tracking services. If you want your I-20 sent by regular overseas mail it is important that you send an email to to make this request. Please remember to include your complete name, I.D. # and the address where you would like your documents mailed.

  2. Express Mail: Irvine Valley College uses an express mail service that will allow you to receive your acceptance letter and I-20 through DHL or FedEx in 3-5 days. This is a fee-based service that will require you to pay using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover cards only).  Please note that your card will be charged upon requesting the service. To request express mailing of your documents, go to the following website:

You must use the website provided above.  Please DO NOT GO through the DHL or FedEx website directly.

If you choose this option, please do not respond by email. All communication will go through the eshipglobal service, who will notify IVC that you are requesting your I-20 to be sent by express mail.

Using this service requires that you create a user name and password in order to create an account. To request shipment, you will need your IVC student ID number, mailing address, email address, phone number and credit card information. You may request shipment to a foreign address or to a U.S. address. If your I-20 will be sent to a U.S. address, please include the name of the person who lives at that address. Please pay close attention to the information submitted as errors in credit card information or submitting incorrect or incomplete address information will delay the mailing of your documents. If you experience any difficulty in registering and processing the shipment, please use the "Help" link in the site for step-by-step instructions. If you have additional questions about how to use this service you may contact

*NOTE: The above options are available to students arriving in the U.S. who will be attending Irvine Valley College on an F-1 visa.
