Transfer to the California State University (CSU) 

The California State University (CSU) is made up of 23 undergraduate campuses with a focus on practical and professional training to prepare graduates to enter the job market. The curriculum includes some theory and research as well.

IMPORTANT: Starting Fall 2021, all NEW Irvine Valley College students transferring to a CSU campus will be required to complete a course in Ethnic Studies in Area F in order to receive full CSU GE certification.

  • ETHN 20 – Introduction to Asian American Studies
  • ETHN 30 – Introduction to Chicanx Studies
  • ETHN 40 – Introduction to African American Studies
