Latino Transfer Night

Please join us at Irvine Valley College for our Latino Transfer Night! Anyone may attend, however, this event is geared toward current Latino students and their parents/legal guardians who would like information on successfully completing a community college education and transfer to a 4-year university. Food provided along with door prizes and giveaways!

The Transfer Center is celebrating IVC students who are transferring to a 4-year UC, CSU, private or out-of-state university. Attend the Transfer Celebration and celebrate all of the hard work you have accomplished at IVC. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Food and refreshments will be provided.

UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (UC TAG) Workshop

Do you know what the UC Transfer Admission Guarantee program entails? The workshop will provide an overview of the requirements for TAG. Attend the workshop and learn the benefits of TAG.

Fall 2017 Application Labs

Location: MAP LAB 250

The MAP Lab will be available for you to work on your CSU or UC application. Transfer counselors and specialist will be available to answer any application questions, and/or review your application.

UC Personal Insight Questions Workshop

The UC Personal Insight Questions are about getting to know you better — your life experience, interest, ambitions and inspiration. Learn how to describe yourself as you answer the UC Personal Insight Questions and complete your UC Application.

Sing up for a UC Personal Insight Questions review session, a counselor or faculty will review your answers to make sure you are being open, reflective and expressing your individual voice.

Common Application Workshops

Location: SSC 230

Attend a workshop that will allow you to complete the common application with the guidance of counselors. The common application is an online tool that gives you access to apply to over 500 Colleges & Universities. This is the perfect time to get ahead and lessen your stress level as you begin your application process.

Scholarship Workshops

Location: SSC 230

The Transfer Center in collaboration with the Financial Aid Office will hold scholarship workshops to provide students with tips on how to search for scholarships, how to be a competitive applicant, and write essays.
