#1 Transfer Rate in Orange County

#2 Transfer Rate in California!

The table below shows the top 10 California community colleges with the highest rate of students transferring to a four-year school. Irvine Valley College has the highest transfer rate in the state, according to the Transfer Velocity Cohort Report.

This report follows the progress of a group (or "cohort") of first-time college students at IVC, beginning with the 2007-2008 academic year and ending in the 2012-2013 academic year, who were on track to transfer to a four-year school. Students were placed in this cohort by completing 12 units of coursework and attempting a transfer-level math or English class within six years. About one quarter of all full-time students are part of this cohort. More than 60% of the IVC students in the cohort successfully transferred to a four-year school -- the highest rate in the state.
